WALK THIS LAND

SOUTH EAST ASIA

TRAVEL GUIDE

SAWATDEE-KAH

South East Asia is home to some of the worlds top travel destinations, for those looking for a beach paradise and it delivers. Lush tropical islands are fringed with white sand beaches and beautiful azure waters perfect for snorkelling and diving. But there's so much more than meets the eye, rich culture and history, breathtaking architecture both old and new and nature all around. Sit amongst lush rainforests in Borneo watching as rehabilitated orangutans swing through the trees around you. Take in Cambodia's history from the awe inspiring Angkor Wat to the hard-hitting s-21 prison and killing fields in Siem Riep. And there's plenty of opportunity to learn something new, whether it's getting you PADI at one of the many diving schools, learning the basics of local cooking or learning Muay Thai boxing - it's great to take a little bit of South East Asia home with you

I’d read about Manta Bowl, a cleaning station for manta rays, that can be reached on...

Putting your mask beneath the surface and coming face to face with the biggest fish in the ocean is a surreal, electric experience. The sheer size of whale sharks should be daunting but these majestic creatures quickly put you at ease as they slowly, elegantly glide through the water beneath you.

7107 islands make up The Philippines but it was the crystal clear azure waters and exploring what lies beneath that drew me there. 3...

So many times I've tried and failed to visit the famous Figure 8 pools, I must have done every other walk in the National Park before I actually arrived at a suitable time to visit Figure 8!

The rock platform that houses the pools is only visible and safe to visit at low tide which for a good part of the year is super early or late and usually just for a window of a few hours meaning you have to time your trip correctly.
